HBAC (Home Birth After Cesarean)
Other than encountering and having a relationship with Jesus Christ, this was the most redemptive and profound experience of my life. Early labor started late Monday night and continued until about 3pm yesterday. Active labor took over and carried us to transition and into the pool I went around 7:30pm. Soon after my body jumped into the pushing phase.
I did not actively push one time. Thank you fetal ejection reflex, We caught Goldie Lynn in the safety of our home at 8:52pm on September 30th, perfect, healthy and so calm. 7lbs 7oz and 18.5ins. Birth was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet (not me, I was NOT quiet, the space was quiet)I cannot believe the differences in our birth experiences with Goldie and Rockie. One was a nightmare we’re still healing from and the other a dream come true.
I don’t think I can thank our midwife adequately. You cannot convince me that Lindsay is not an angel that God sent from heaven to help bring babies earth side and care for moms. I’m beyond grateful that our paths crossed and she took us on. She was calm, reassuring, gentle, Godly, and extremely educated. She created an atmosphere of safety without fear. She prayed over us and Goldie many times.
My God given instincts on how to physiologically birth were honored and encouraged every step of the way.
Thank you to Grammy and Aunt for watching Rockie while we brought Goldie into the world.
We praise God for His provision, guidance and calling on us to birth at home. And most importantly we thank Him for giving us Goldie
